A nervous Mary Kate English found out there was nothing to fear after winning the Jon Baker Novice Foil Tournament.

Mary kate has been fencing for only a few weeks and has won her very first tournament, the results are as follows:

Strong Showing at the 2007 County Championships!

The Long Island Fencing Club continued its tradition of posting positive results.
The Boys teamfencing for Centereach HS captured the Bronze Medal for the 2nd year in a row in the team County Tournament, and the Girls won the Silver. The girls have medaled every year since 2000, with them taking home:
2000 - GOLD
2001 - Bronze
2002 - Silver
2003 - Silver
2004 - Silver
2005 - GOLD
2006 - Silver
2007 - Silver

In the Individual portion of the Counties, LIFC/Centereach fencers stood atop the competition yet again, with 2 COUNTY CHAMPIONS!
Dominick Fazzari is the Boys Foil Individual County Champion
Allison Ratis is the Girls Epee Individual County Champion

In addition, many other fencers made the finals as well:
Nick Quackenbush - Bronze in Boys Epee
Lisa Verzino - Bronze in Girls Saber
Joann Reyes - 4th in Girls Foil
Cristina Sousa - 5th in Girls Foil
Ali Sperduti - 5th in Girls Saber

The girls ended up with 6 fencers in the finals. This is the most any Centereach Girls Team has ever had in the finals!
